Host a meeting

  1. Sign in and choose Start Meeting, or choose Schedule for a future meeting.
  2. Confirm your host name and meeting details.
  3. Check your camera and microphone before entering.
  4. Share the invitation with participants. Include the passcode when one is required.
  5. Admit waiting participants if the waiting room is enabled.

Your personal meeting link is reusable. Copy it from Rooms when you want a consistent place for conversations you host.

Join an invitation

Open the invitation directly, or use Join a Room. Enter the code or full link, check your name and devices, and join. If you are waiting, the host must admit you.

For scheduled meetings, joining opens ten minutes before the start. Ask the host for updated details if the scheduled joining window has closed.

Free and Pro limits

Rooms Lite allows 40-minute meetings with 10 total participants, including the host, at up to 480p. It includes 600 participant-minutes per workspace per month and draws from a shared free pool. For example, two people meeting for 30 minutes use about 60 participant-minutes.

Rooms Pro is listed at ₦25,000 per workspace per month, with three named hosts, meetings up to 180 minutes, up to 25 participants, and 6,000 participant-minutes included. Resolution and further-use limits apply. See Plans and Limits.

Switching apps on a phone

A mobile operating system may pause browser camera or microphone access when another app is in front. Return to the meeting to resume. Praxis attempts reconnection and provides a Rejoin Meeting recovery action if needed. Use Picture-in-Picture from a video tile's menu when your browser supports it.

Find background noise

Look for Audio from in the meeting or Speaking now in Participants. Ask the identified participant to mute, or use the moderator's microphone control. Headphones help reduce echo, and participants should mute when they are not speaking.

Troubleshooting

  • If you cannot hear anyone, use Tap to turn on sound when it appears and check your speaker output.
  • If your camera or microphone is unavailable, review browser device permissions.
  • If a room is full or a usage limit has been reached, the host must review the room's plan or monthly usage.
  • Recording and transcription are not included in the standalone offer described here.
