Offline Work & Sync
LiveLast updated: 2026-10-30
Status note: Updated for KudiPod v1.1.0.
KudiPod keeps eligible work on your device when the connection drops. The status shown in the app distinguishes device-saved work from server-confirmed records.
Before Going Offline
Open KudiPod online, sign in, and load the records and workflows you expect to use. Cached records belong to that account and business. A fresh device cannot download your business records without a connection.
What Can Be Saved on the Device
Eligible product, customer, and invoice changes, supported checkout payments, expense submissions, stock counts, and till-closing drafts can be held for sync. Availability depends on having the required records and verified context cached on that device.
A stock count or till closing keeps the original source information for later review. It does not silently override changes made elsewhere while you were offline.
Understand the Status
| Status | Meaning | What to Do |
|---|---|---|
| Saved on this device | The action has not yet been accepted by the server. | Keep the device data and reconnect. |
| Waiting to sync | Work is queued for the same account and business. | Check your connection and use Sync Now when available. |
| Synced or submitted | The server accepted the action. | Check its approval or completion status if the workflow requires another step. |
| Could not sync or needs review | The server rejected the action or its source changed. | Open Review and follow the reason before retrying or removing a device copy. |
Queues survive a normal reload on the same device. Browser storage can still be removed by clearing site data, uninstalling, private browsing, or device storage policies. Do not clear site data while work is awaiting sync.
Reconnect and Review
- Sign in as the account that saved the work and select the same business.
- Check the sync bar and use Sync Now where offered.
- Review any rejected or conflicting changes.
- Refresh records and review or recount when source data changed.
- Confirm the final server status before treating the work as approved, paid, or closed.
Repeated delivery of the same supported queued action uses its saved reference to prevent duplication. Creating a new action is different from retrying the existing one.
Work That Still Needs a Connection
Sale approval and final stock confirmation, online payment verification, changes requiring a live payment balance, staff and business settings, Calmorah answers, uploads, and external integrations need an internet connection. PDF generation and sharing can also require online resources.
For invoices with an existing part payment, reconnect before recording another payment when KudiPod requires the current balance. A device-saved payment is not proof of online settlement.
